Context

As part of a personal project, I did a photo session with two childhood friends — fellow members of our rap group Langue Natale — and the daughter of one of them. This shoot held deep symbolic meaning: capturing a bond built over time, rooted in artistic commitment, shared history, and intergenerational transmission.

Intention

My goal was to document not just a deep friendship, but a living memory of the collective. To portray the quiet strength of these female figures — presence, legacy, and continuity — with no staging or artifice.

Approach

I chose a minimalist, documentary-style aesthetic using only natural light. The idea was to let expressions, glances, and gestures speak for themselves. This series captures a suspended moment — both intimate and universal — between shared past and a forward-looking gaze.
